    A Long Day

The order of these is to read the bottom one first and work your way back up.

From Terry Bond Mon Mar 26 11:50:33

I thought it probably was an error. I'll let Bok know about it so I don't have to listen to how devious you all are lol

I think it is an error because Mike has never done PI and I have confirmed with Rolo via IRC that he is gone.

    Chris,
As much as I can make out it is the movement. I have no idea how to read it. Just wondering because that ws the exact amount Rolo left with. I could be an error in Bok's script. I'll give him a holler and check.

    Terry,
I think I know WHO Heartwell is. But he is starting fresh, so I have no idea where the points came from. He is a new recruit I just brought onboard.
I don't completely understand the link you sent below. I am gathering that is the movement of people to and from TBP. Is that correct?

Chris this is just all for fun as far as I'm concerned. But, can you tell me who Heartwell is joining from new with 8,472 points?

Now that I have his official reasoning posted in our thread, yes I agree that he was persuaded and not forced. I am assuming you are going to take this to Jianan and ask him about it? Or are you going to the guys who run the Vault?

    Chris,
I would think that "school pressure" falls under the "persuaded, wooed" heading wouldn't you? It's not like someone put a gun to his head or that he spent months building up that number. He wanted to leave and I think the score should have stayed with you guys.

    Terry,
Someone else already called Rolo on it in IRC so I know that there are issues, I think with his school or something. I'll check into it and get a straight answer.
Peter has been noticeably absent lately. I guess that makes me defacto team leader. Speaking from that viewpoint, I agree with you - to an extent. I think if someone leaves of their own free will that they should have to leave behind the score. If they are forced to leave by outside circumstances, they can take it with them.
Let me clarify by way of example. Temna was run off by us. His points should go with him, IMO. If Rolo had to switch teams due to school pressure, then the points should go with him. If someone changes teams because they are persuaded, wooed, then they should leave points behind.
    Does that make sense?

    Chris,
I didn't care for what Rolo did and it would be nice if we both went in on an e-mail (someone from each team) asking that when someone leaves a team their points stay with that team as with almost all other projects. What do you think?

And This is the Letter to Just:

    Jianan,

We had something happen today that many people are concerned with. A member of Team Blueberry Pi left to a team from his school. I have spent most of the afternoon e-mailing back and forth with Leavitron (Chris) from Team Blueberry PI. We can both see the potential for abuse if almost anyone is allowed to leave with their points. In nearly all projects what points you make while a member of a team are the property of that team. Until today no one knew that in Pi Segment your points would go with you. Is there an easy way for you to fix this? If you read through our teams forum from today you will be amazed at all the ways these people have come up with to abuse this. I had no idea there were so many twisted minds on my team. lol I could go into all the ways to abuse this slight flaw but, my teamates have done an outstanding job of outlining many ways that I would have never thought of. It would be nice if you could put back the points that Team Blueberry Pi lost due to this. I think that Chris and I just want this to be a fair race and a lot of fun.

    Thank you for your time,
    Terry

Here is a letter to Just from Chris that he cc'd to me:

    Jianan,

Just so know that I was talking with Terry, I told him I felt that there are two possible situations here.

    1) Where a person leaves a team of his own free will. In this situation I definitely think the points should stay with the team.

    2) Where a person is forced to leave the team by pressure, etc. This would be like where Peter (Accs) asked Temna to be removed from our team. In this example, I think a case could be made to let the points go with the person instead of stay with the team.

However you decide, I trust that it will be fair.

    Regards,

    Chris Leaver
