    Time for me to upgrade

I was pricing up a new AM2 combo, DDR2 RAM etc before I went to the UK. I had my eye on an X2 5800+ which was retailing at just over $400. I clicked the bookmark and it came back with this:

6000+ and it's almost 1/2 the price it was 2 weeks ago!

I've been watching the AM2 price drop also. I'm keeping a eye on the 65w 5200. It's around $200 now if you can find them.

I'll most likely be water cooling it, so I'm not too worried about the heat output of the CPU.

It has been 8 months since I last upgraded, I am waiting for a cash insurgence to allow me to purchase my dream machine. Once that happens, I may just try to fit it all into one machine to do the work of four processors or more!

That would be my choice if I went with the 6000.

I just hope this big cooler that I have will fit the new quads. I love my Monsoon II.
