    That is awesome dude!
I plan on upgrading soon too!

Same CPU, probably the same Video Card.

Here is the motherboard I plan on using: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813127003
If you can't make it ... Don't come!

    Nice.

I got my shuttle today and it didn't work
Trying to resurect it, otherwise I'm off to the PC store on Saturday to grab replacement parts.

Though I'm on a 754 socket motherboard this time I seem to be going back in time!
Mainly because I've got the CPU that came with the Shuttle (I think still works) and I'd bought some DDR RAM, IDE HD etc and all the AM2 boards seem to be DDR2 and SATA

PCManiac - I like the idea of the Debug LED

Drezha - That sucks dude, is it Asus?

Opteron - Will do, although its first job will be to break the 1million mark for me on WCG (35k to go)

Ok it's on - I like a challenge. I've not crunched D2OL before - is it BOINC or no?

The shuttle was a shuttle system Which looks great. But I do have some plans for the case ;)

I see no point in chucking away brand new and perfectly working pieces of hardware, so I'm sticking the parts into a Socket 754 Mobo. Which will be either an Asus or MSI one.
    Not sure which one yet.
Think probably the cheaper of the two.

get the nVidia 250, nVidia 250 Gb or the Via K8T800 Pro chipsets (unless you're going integrated graphics or pci-express). Otherwise there's no AGP-lock and that sucks. It keeps my Athlon64 from going beyond 2.2 GHz. I'm too lazy to buy another mobo, mind you.

    Went for the MSI one.

Considering I'm not overclocking, I didn't need AGP lock.

Besides the Asus one was PCI-e and that would have meant buying a new PCI-e card rather than stick with my current aging nVidia 5200FX. Besides, it's a Skt754..you don't have much choice
