    puter advice

    Hi Guys, I'm upgrading my main box from a Asus A7N8X XP 3200 to a Asus A8N-SLI Premium, with a X2-4200 cpu. Do I need a fresh install of windows to make the new motherboard and cpu work right with Windoz ??? I run 3 hard drives and have one sata drive that has been freshly formatted from running Vista (good riddance) ...could put a fresh install of XP in that one.Or should I go with Vista cause it might run dual core better?? It did not work well with my DC work especially Folding GPU client, it caused my work output to slow down in half...any comments???? THANKS !!

    Sometimes you can get away with a Repair Install, that loads the new drivers required.
