At least she still looks at you then

@Gatekeeper, couldn't agree more------within a team I consider all members equal wether they run a single Duron or a fleet of quads.

Is the willingness to participate that counts

Maybe I should tell her that I want to start collecting cars... Then computers won't sound too bad...

lol That's like when I get "that look" when I buy parts for a puter and I just tell her that it could have been a new fire siut or helmet or a motor. She hated it when I raced dirt track stock cars. LOL

    Hi, my name is William.

I am 32 years old and have been doing some form of distributed computing since SETI@Home was first released publicly.

    As for my modest farm of computers, I have currently a X2 4400+ AM2, a X2 4200+ 939, a 64 3200+ 754 [ currently offline with a bad psu ] and a 2.8 GHz P4. To think that I started SETI with a Pentium 133....

I started SETI@Home on a Pentium 60MHz, which was then upgraded to what was called an "Overdrive" chip. Got her up to 120MHz! Man, that was fast!
