Fast is nice, but so is cheapI'll stop crunching before I BUY an Intel. I also have a high enough electric bill for the summer. I dont know how some of you guys can run so many. I had to shut a few of mine off for the summer to take the load off of the a/c. When we get into the fall and winter months I may consider replacing a few older units with an AMD quad core. I think they will be ready before I need to add more heaters to my house.

I was just at the AMD site reading about the release of the dual core opteron, slated for "mid 2007"
This is August 2007 right? Or did I set my clock wrong?
It says the new quads have:
• Same thermal envelope and socket as
AMD Opteron™ processors with DDR2
So does that mean AM2?
