    Cool quad Cores

I see Intel just slashed prices massively especially on the quad core Q6600's. The are now only 266.00 ea., and sold out at newegg.com I guess I'll order a couple more at this price.

AMD really needs to get that Barcelona quad core out asp (Aug release now), and make it price comparable. I hear that they are going to release the early cores running at a low 2.0 ghz. Hopefully the internal core magic is strong enough to keep pace with the Q6600 at the lower clock rate. Only time will tell.

I would love to upgrade my dual socket F to 8 total cores. That would be the bomb.

Where the link for 266.00 because I'm getting 299.99. I would like one those. I've only had one Intel CPU and that was in 1991.

Yeah, was just going to mention that if Intel dropped the Price to $266 then your not going to be able to buy it for that unless you buy a Gazillion of them ...

Think I'm going to just go with what I've got for now and see what the 8 Core CPU's will be like when they come out with them & how much if any upgrading of the other Parts I have now that I'll have to do ...

we need some good benchmarks comparing the q6600 and AMD's best. I dont think we'll get those until release time in Aug. especially if the benchies dont stack up to Intel. AMD wouldnt want these released early if thats the case. Everything I read said that if they released on schedule way back when and didnt have the slipage in release date to today, it might have been a different price/power comparison that what we're gonna get now.
