    Page File Size

Two identical systems; one has a page file of 384 mega bytes, the other has 5.64 giga bytes. 2 gig ram in each. Can anyone give me some insight into how this occurs, and how to rid myself of such hysteria? Having difficulty in running some programs with such a large size page file, any help would be greatly appreciated.!

Every time I install Windows I always go to the settings and set the page file size to a fixed value of 1 GByte. It's more than enough for the applications I use.
