We recently have a mail from MSI as told us about their tests on AMD´s coming 790FX motherboard and we become fairly impressed of the contents. It seems as they have succeeds reach an impressive processor buss (speed) of 510 MHz with only air-cooling. The processor as was used was an AMD Athlon 64 x2 6400+ with a multiplier of x5 and HTT set to x1. AMD/ATI’s engineers seem have done a very good work with their future motherboards control circuit and together with the support from CrossFire X it seems be a very good platform. Now we only miss one Phenom-processor and Radeon HD 3870 where booth except be launched in the middle of November month.

Look at CPU-Z

AMD has as known announced a series of processors with 3 kernels. Now it seems, as we will know what the name of the series should come to have. The Phenom 7-series shall be the name and the architecture of the tree kernels shall run under the developing name Toliman. In reality, it is a processor with 4 kernels where one of them has been inactivated. According to VR-Zone as have published the information will, AMD release 2 models during Mars 2008. Phenom 7700 and 7600 as shall be clocked at 2,5 and 2,3 respectively. Both of the processors will use the Socket AM2+ platform and with a TDP value of 89 W. Already now it is indications of a 45 nm processor with 3 kernels in the beginning of 2009 named Heka, one Deneb kernel where they have closed on of the kernels.

Here is a link where they have benchmarked Intel vs. AMD Phenom X 4
Who of them is the loser?

I must say even if I can read and understand Swedish it is a challenge interpret my own language to English. If I should wrote and use my own brain, it is much easier.
