    Any sailors out there?

Is anyone on this team "sailing" in the virtual Barcelona World Race? If your racing, I have a boat named moderna.

I am starting to think about finding a second hand to "sail" the boat when I go to work or sleep. Let me know if you are interested preferable someone who lives outside of the American time zones.

wow, that is pretty hard core! I was in a group called Sea Scouts for a while. it is pretty much like Boy Scouts, but we would sail sailboats instead

The local races in Puget Sound is my real sailing thing these days.

Would love to do the real thing, all I need are sponsors to buy the $2-3 million for the boat and a few million extra for support crew, transportation etc. Maybe AMDusers can kick in! Well, maybe not.

Go to http://www.liveskipper.com/, and register a new account. This looks interesting.

moderna? It looks like there are different "races" all the time?

EDIT: Sailing along on the Good Ship "Bender", in the Canary Islands....

Bender! Welcome to a really fun but time consuming activity. My "boat" moderna is south of Australia. I added you to my friends list.

I think this is the first of the big races this company has done with the simulator and they have had their share of problems but I it is still fun.

    Good wind.

Thanks Loren, I found you when I "got on board".

I'm not a sailor by any means, but the controls are simple. I can see that the "real time" sailing will make this interesting. Like checking in before you run aground, or miss a wind change.

EDIT: You are on my list also.
