This is an excellent project to run in the background. It doesn't use any processor resources. It does need an always on internet connection though. It would be great to have you aboard!!!

No, it actually uses very little bandwidth too, only a few bytes up and down every 30 seconds or so. (time interval is configurable, but shorter interval equals more points)
The project is attempting to "map" the internet. It sends "pings" to specific IP addresses to get back the available routes from our computer to the destination computer and all the points inbetween, and creates maps with them. It's nice to watch it working, the graphs are cool.

    Congrats on the landmark.

I still have lots of problems with Dimes. Somehow it doesn't like my Java installations ever since they upgraded their application from .4.0.x to .4.5

The symptoms are it "appears" to be running but doesn't do anything. I have only one PC that is Dimes compatible in my pharm.

I'm running it, and I see IP addresses graphing on just a couple of my computers. On the others the Dimes app shows nothing. All of them are receiving "points", so it must be running correctly.
