Unhappy Dimes using 90% of the processor??

When I try to run Dimes on my wife's laptop, java uses 90% of the processor?? If I kill dimes, the process dies and the system idles back to 99% free.

Is anyone else having this problem?? Does anyone know why java would hog my processor resources?? Is there a fix??

    The process is javaw.exe

    Which dimes installer did you use [ 0.4.3b | 0.4.4 ] ?
Best sticking with the 0.4.3b on the lappy IMO.

If you go to the command prompt and type
    Code:
    $ java -version{ENTER}
which version does is say is working?
    Here's mine:
    Code:
    java version "1.6.0_03"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_03-b05)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.6.0_03-b05, mixed mode, sharing)
For dimes I'd stick with Java 1.5.x or 1.6.x

If you don't have 1.5.x or above I'd remove and re-install the appropriate Sun Java version.
You may have more than one version of Java installed (I tend to for different java programs), but usually only one of them will respond to that command and that's the one that will be trying to execute Dimes.

If it still sticks, remove dimes and re-install.

To make Dimes work I have had to uninstall the old version, d/l and install the current version for Windows which is 0.4.5 and on one PC I had to get the latest Java d/l from Sun.

Yea, I thought it was pretty funny and it matches my personality... It's not my face though... The monkey is much cuter than I am.
