Thanks...I hope it gets me started again! One other annoying nit...MS outlook now thinks it's illegal..and it's most definitely not! It won't let me do anything other than read emails!

BTW...I was asked this morning 'what computer do you have' I could only answer that it was a generic one...given my new configuration...what would you...or any of you, call it?

Does an AMD 64 describe it...or is that just the motherboard?

    It's not generic, it's custom

I tell people I have an X2 6000+ which usually does it.

LOL!! I'd be afraid they'd ask about my others...Pentium 4 Dell Inspiron and another 'custom' ahem...386! but they still work...just have to work the pedals a bit harder!

I'm glad to say I completed my first WU for Folding today...but sad and mad that my usb ports are still stopping me booting up...remove them all bar one (mouse) and it boots fine...then I can add a few.

Earlier today I moved the pc to photo the back of it to show my tech guys...and got the dreaded BSOD!!
What have I done to deserve such an action??

You might have jumped the HDD when you moved it. Some discs are more sensitive than others.
