Good summary AMDave. So what to buy? A cpu supporting the 939 pin setup so your new PC is future-proofed? Or a Sempron 3100 as its a 754 but pretty cheap. I saw a review of it compared to some other CPUs I think it was at Tomshardware or Pcper.

I can't wait for my Gateway to die....... But the damn thing is still running... It's almost 5 years old.... I had a Compaq that was 3 years old and it blew up for no reason..... Why can't it happen now!!!!!!

I rebooted, and after that my stats went to 200 k for some reason..... They should be back to normal in a second or two.... You can see here
