    1.5 Tera output/day

Come on guys now most of the ppl who will vote have voted, SOB is our main project.
Yesterday out total output was 1.13T
where i caslculated to overtake i thought we coul reach 1.5T per day, at that rate we would do it 30 days.
so i am asking everone put power into SOB so we can take our rightful rank from free DC.
the difference is now only 24T, at 1.13 (current speed) we do it in 21 days but if we increase to 1.5T/day only 16 days.
this is nothing so LETS DO IT

    thx

    oli

    Jeez Jason,

You are always doing that to me :bad-words:

If it wasn't for my wife, 2 kids and a f***king great mortgage, I'd sell my house, buy a caravan and 10 quad amd processor machines and blow your ass out of the the water.

But in the meantime, I'm NOT afraid.

    Bring it on. :pottytrain2:

ototero you made 1 terabyte :thumbleft: - the first of many, lol
10 quads sounds very gd, id imagine your stats would increase a little ;)

talking of processors, whats the difference between the various types of processors AMD makes. i googled the sempron yesterday and in spec i couldnt see much difference between the sempron 2800+ and the XP 2800+, is there actually anything different ???

    Hehee

As for Seperons. Think of Semperons to Athlons as Celerons to Pentiums.

They are just cut downs but giving less price/performance IMHO.

    sempron

    Empty_5oul,

APC magazine - (Oct 2004) includes an article about the new sempron range.

The Sempron is the replacement for the Duron range.

All semprons except 1 are based on the XP core and are socket A.
these were based on the XP to set the product range for market.

The XP based models are 32-bit and will phase out as the Athlon-64 development program moves forward.

All except the Sempron 3100+ which is new baseline model based on the Athlon-64 and is socket 754 and has a FSB speed of 1600 instead of the old 333 Mhz.

Future Semprons will be Athlon-64 core on socket 754, but there are plans to move all AMD cpus to socket 939 further down the track.

    The XP will phase out.

    The FX is still in.

The Athlon-64s will drop down into the Sempron range as time goes on.

The Sempron is targeted directly against the Celeron but will also streamline both AMD's product range.

The key advantages over Intel are:
They have delivered ahead of schedule.
The chips are cooler (everyone knew that)
and they run at a lower temp ;)
They have a level 1 cache of 128 Kb against the Celeron 16 Kb level 1 cache.
    etc...etc...

The product reviews are being released now across the internet & have more info than I'd like to paraphrase here.
