    Gigabyte write DS4 and DS5 support 9850.

    BUT IS NOT TRUE

    My 9850 work now (overclock solid) at 203x15, with 4 WU at time.
    But not possible modify Vcore, NB and HT.
    If I change from bios, bios accept parameter, but when I start windows, CPU-Z and AOD and all software, reports value default. Bios accept and not apply. I have F4 bios, last bios.
    If I change value from AOD, 99% crash pc and next is possible boot only next reset cmos of bios... strange.
    I have mount WB for good overclock, but only with Vcore default not possible > 3,3GHz, I have try. With bios F3, was best. I waiting new bios.
    The 9850 3,050GHz with bench is little best speed vs 5000+@3,233, 3101 FP and 6722 integer vs 3188 FP and 5918 integer of 5000+, but in reality is differents. With 5000+ 3h for WU max, and for 9850 2h,30' max for now...

    plonk mobo will support 9750 assuming you get 95 w version not 125 w version ps 9750 has both 95 and 125 w versions

    The problems of parameter in bios not really when I start windows, are the software AOD and Ntune5. This work differents mode from 5000+B.Ed.
    On 5000+, I not active load automatic on boot and is all ok. With 9850, is not true, because they write in register of windows and they work.
    Next I have prb with overvolt. At Vcore def is solid 3GHz-3,050GHz, but If I overvolt, Vcore, Vcore and NB, the sistem have many prb. I not know if this is for power... I have buy one Arkangel of 850W and next I try. My be matherborad... but on DS3 9850 work best, but I not have try overvolt, because I have buy kit WB and all I have assembly on DS4.
    I wait and next I write news.
    In Seti, the 9850 2,68GHz work = 5000+@3,233GHz.
    At 3GHz the 9850 work 17% best of 5000+@3,233GHz

    Hi everyone, I also just got my 9850 Black up and running on water with an MSI K9A2 Platinum Mb, Corsair Dominator 2Gb, Hiper 680 Watt PS, just started playing with the OC on it, up to 3030 Mhz with 1.38 Vcore, looks like it don't like much more voltage, or FSB, multiplier is at X15. Seems stable in Prime95 up to this point, gonna take some tweaking to get much more out of it I think

    Thumbs up

    On the contrary, I'm pretty happy with it, two more cores crunching, and I didn't think a 530Mhz OC was all that bad

    Not bad, agreed, but 50% oc for an equally priced cpu just is better, sad to have to report that the better one is intel.

    4/16/2008 7:09:38 PM|| Number of CPUs: 4
    4/16/2008 7:09:38 PM|| 3043 floating point MIPS (Whetstone) per CPU
    4/16/2008 7:09:38 PM|| 6633 integer MIPS (Dhrystone) per CPU
    Total Integer Speed 2653 GIOps
    Total FPU 12.17 GFlOps

    (I wish I had 5 more of these )
