The 9850 when run at frequence > 3,1GHz, IPC is very best!!!
9850 a 2,861GHz
Floating point MIPS (Whetstone) 2897
Integer MIPS (Dhrystone) 6317
if 2897 / 2861,1 (freq cpu 1) X 3208,7 (freq. cpu 2) = 3249
if 6317 / 2861,1 X 3208,7 = 7085.
the cpu 2 have 3269 vs 3249, near in FP
But this is wonderfool

frederic looking at screen shots both systems are running xp pro 32 bit thus would be unable to provide numbers for 64 bit client

Next I have one DFI M2R... but for me is very very hard that bios.
But 2h 9850 not is good... only 2,85GHz. I hope 3GHz with DFI.
For now, I have see this:
Many matherboard not support power of 9850.
With Gigabyte DS3 and Gigabyte DS4 not possible > 3,1GHz... and at 3,1GHz 1-2 time at day compute error in WU. For this I have work at 3,05GHz and 1,325V Vcore. At 1,4V I have try and Gigabyte DS4 is dead. that cpu on asus, 3,1GHz Vcore default and work all 4 cores. at 3,2GHz it's ok 1,392-1,425V.
I think only top matherboard are ok for 9850 and overclock. DQ6, Asus MA32MVP, and more. Only DFI is ok... and I think all models.
This is my opinion... my be I wrong.

With SO 64bit... XP-64bit or Vista 64bit... Seti@home is best fast?
If yes, I install 64bitI hate Vista... always prb with drivers... but with lan.... if Vista not see my modem not prb.
Mondey I have next VGA, and in this mode I have 3 pc on-line, all for seti
the 3h is my old 5000+B.Ed.
In this month my be AMD new CPU.... my be 9950 or Phenom FX (is possible one B3 on 45nm... is equal... with bug and cache L2 512KB and L3 2MB, only TDP <.... 95W... but I have see only peoples speack... is not ufficial from AMD) Sorry for my english...
But I upgrade my 5000+B.Ed., and I try and I post. :
