    Summer Crunching

Well, the weather here in New England has calmed down. We just made it through a short period of VERY warm weather (+32 C). Which raised the temps in the computer dungeon quite a bit from its normal cool enjoyable climate.

The warm weather was finally cleared out of the area by a few MAJOR Thunderstorms , but it is nice and cool now....more seasonal.

Which, on the down side, allowed me to exercise all my ups's. And I actually ended up shutting everything down for the evening. I am working on bringing boxes back up, and I am working on trying to keep the dungeon temps at reasonable (~23 C) levels.....

    Summer Crunching

Like Bender10 I too have to deal with summer thunderstorms, these of course include power surges and outages. Most of the time I can recover in short time frames, others take awhile. While I am off line don't worry team mates, my heart is here and I wish you the best till I return.

Don't think I am leaving anytime soon from this conversation above; just remember that summer brings violent storms and hair raising frustrations.

I'm also feeling the same pain. Its getting hot and I've had some issues with heat and storms. I have dropped the ps3 for the summer and the 2 GPU's have been retired. I may have to look into some options to keep the heat out of the house or reducing the pharm for the summer.

Oh yes ... Summer ... I remember those days.

Here in the Southern Hemisphere its nice and cold ... ahhh! Winter ... time to turn off the air conditioner and let Mother Nature cool the pharm.

No need for heaters in my office.

It would be nice if Mother Nature would get her act together! In the Upper Midwest we're getting inundated with rain, yet Georgia and the Carolinas are in a drought. The Corn Belt is taking a major beating. Wheaties is going to get a whole lot more expensive.

What is rain??? I think I saw some of that stuff back in April... It hasn't rained here for a while now... At least not a good rain. Feel free to push some of the presipitation towards Texas...

Temps can peak at 40C in the summer over here in Portugal. And we don't have thunderstorms to cool it down. Thank God I work in an office with a good air conditioning.

We have summer now in Sweden and my computer room is always warmer than normal and so my computers. Only a cloudy and rainy day can calm the warm down. Right now we have a low pressure weather.

    Invitation for Docking@Home

How ones get invited to crunch for Docking @Home. Looks like a good project, even it seems it has a low output of WU's but, with my med problems and all the meds I take, I like to comtribute to find the fountain of youth!
