    Quads

    News from the Infirmary...

    You know me..hack..hack..always spending thousands of $$ (actually only $360) keeping up with the Smith's. It must have been the meds I'm on, But I bought parts for a 9550 quad..hack..and built the monster during several drug induced sessions..hack..in the computer dungeon.

    The warty little demon is churning away on the project bench as I ..shudder..type. fiendishly grinding away (no OC, ubuntu 8.04 64 bit, 4 gig Crucial xms2 ddr2 6400, gigabyte ga-m78sm-s2h MB, 20 gig 2.5" HD and the oem cpu cooler) on some test wu's, and chorlting with wicked joy....

    There goes the neighborhood..hack...gurgle...

    heh heh... just amazing how putting together a new quad will help one get over the crud.

    But your little exercise there pushed me over the edge and I ordered the stuff for a phenom tonight. I had really been debating whether to go with another q6600 or get the 9850. So anyway I joined the phenom crowd to keep AMD in the running. Thanks for the motivation!!!

    Ok, yall let me in on the secret... How the hell did yall get a money tree and where can I find one??

    Wanna hear a funny story... I was the first person on the team to get a dual core, but I will probably be the last person on the team to get a quad...

    I got a wife, but I lost the manual. Dang, I knew I shouldn't have skipped the "Training Your Wife" section!!

    Especially the chapter on getting her to let you buy expensive electronics...
