For some people October 4th just cannot come around fast enough each year.
According to the WSW website, World Space Week is celebrated in over 50 countries worldwide from October 4th to 10th each year and is the largest public Space Event on Earth.
If you want to see what some people got up to last year in your neck of the woods, have a quick look at your country in last year's 2007 Calander. Sputnik Pizza Night ! I'll be getting right into that.
If you feel that your country is under represented in the 2008 calendar, take the plunge and make your own booking and invite your friends along.
Don't forget the kids. One of the initiatives behind this is child education supported by the Robert Heinlein Centennial. If you have the mind and the hands for arts, crafts and fantastic experiments and are ready to ignite the interest and passion in the kids, you might try your hand at getting some water rockets into the air and if you are really clever, bringing them down gently with a parachute?
Above all, have a great week.
