There's always something more one can do to get that extra cpu cycle. Shut down unused windows services, disable fancy graphics, kill unnecessary processes, so many things can be done.
A dedicated crunching machine should be as lightweight as possible. Think of command line.

I don't have a problem with it. You will miss the first few days of the month long race if you change computers now. I guess you have allowed for that in your decision.

Danish, I don't advise you to do that seeing that you're well placed on the rankings. Changing host id's like I did for Ramjet (and will do for myself tonight), resets the workunits and credits back to zero. That's what vaughan was talking about.
In both my case and Ramjet(Jason) there wasn't much of a loss, we both had computer problems right at start and didn't get many credits, but you are way ahead and running well.

Are you sure you want to change host id and lose the credits you've gained so far?

well phase 1 is in place
phase 2 install boinc
phase 3 swap ram with phenom (800 mhz for 1066 mhz)
phase 4 install amd 6000+ and oc
phase 5 advise new client id
phase 6 win comp lol :P
