Mom wants an iMac - the 24" version with the 2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Extreme and 4GB of memory would be a good one for her (and for me to borg)

I could handle an eight way quad core opteron server ...

Nice bow. I'll stick with my old wooden Darton, I've gotten 27 deer with it so far. Never shot for points except on a rack. Best I've done there is 12.

At the top of my Christmas list...

I would like to have everyone agree to my terms of investment, and the final word "GO" be heard loud and clear on my project!

Challenge me, or correct me, but don't ask me to die quietly.

Ah bow hunting in the UK is illegal and I think I'd stick to target shooting anyhow...Hunting doesn't really take my fancy. Maybe because it's so hard to do in the UK...

Deer hunting... 4 years ago I took my sons on an 8,000 mile trip in my Tundra around the good ol'e USA. Passing through Wyoming on the way back we saw so many mule deer my youngest almost slapped one on the butt as we drove by. The funny thing was; every few miles there was a sign stating that that section of the highway was being maintained (litter pickup) by different hunting clubs. We got quite a chuckle assuming that obviously the hunters weren't very good due to the large number of deer just standing around beside the road and out in the open in the the fields.

The deer here have acquired the hunting season gene. When it's closed, the roadsides (where the state plants ryegrass, oats and clover) as well as farmers fields planted with various crops, will have herds of deer roaming freely. Let deer season open and - poof - not a deer to be seen.

I don't really have anything on my list. I bought a modern computer, and my parents just bought a 52" LCD 1080p TV, a Bose sound system and will soon be subscribing to HD channels. Just so much money spent in a few short weeks.

I'm looking forward to Boxing Day though.
