    PRPClient testers needed

    We are seeking PRPClient testers...specifically, those with multicore computers. A multicore installation has been created for Linux and Windows machines. Our goal was to create an easy installation/single click operation for dual, quads, and dual quad computers.

    Ideally, someone who is not familiar with the PRPClient is desired to download, install, and run a few tests with the setup...taking notes on areas that are not clear or are difficult to understand. We would GREATLY appreciate any feedback on the instructions and ease of operation. If you are able to help, please see the PRPNet thread.

    The following projects are currently offered:

    port 5000: 12121 Prime Search (121); (121*2^n+-1 & 27*2^n+-1)
    port 6868: Generalized Cullen & Woodall Prime Search (GCW13); b=13 (n*13^n+-1)
    port 7171: Proth Prime Search Extended (PPSE); 1200<k<10000 360k<n<380k (k*2^n+1)
    port 8181: Sophie Germain Prime Search (SGS); (k*2^666666-1)
    port 9000: Proth Prime Search Extended (PPSE); 1200<k<10000 360k<n<380k (k*2^n+1)
    port 9191: Proth Prime Search Extended (PPSE); 1200<k<10000 360k<n<380k (k*2^n+1)
    port 10000: Proth Prime Search Extended (PPSE); 1200<k<10000 50k<n<360k (k*2^n+1)

    PRPNet operates very much like LLRNet. However, some advantages include being able to run LLR 3.7.1c (the latest and fastest version) as well as phrot (faster than LLR on non-base 2 b<50). It also allows the user to participate in several projects at the same time (setting share across projects).

    Finally, for single core users, there's even a Mac version available. We do not yet have a multicore installation for that so if anyone is interested in creating one, we'd gladly add it to the multicore options.

    Builds for the latest 1.0.5 single core release:

    * prpclient-1.0.5-linux (32 bit and 64 bit)
    * prpclient-1.0.5-windows (32 bit - will run on 64 bit)
    * prpclient-1.0.5-mac (PPC and Intel)

    Please post feedback in the PRPNet Discussion thread. Thank you for giving this your consideration.

    Has anyone noticed that the prpclient.exe doesn't work on Windows 10?
    It fires up fine, resumes from where it was closed, but doesn't consume any cpu.

    Update:
    Cpu is now being used.
    What I've noticed is that the dos box it runs in updates the single line showing the % completed.
    Under windows 7/8 it added a new line for % done.

    Darkness isn't there, but you can't see through it
