Thumbs up dual gpu setup running.

    Greetings all,

I just installed a ATI 4850 into a cruncher that I now have running MW@home at the same time as a GTX 285 nvidia GPU running GPUGRID@home, along with ABC@home on the quad cpu's.

    ITs running all at once:

    4 ABC CPU tasks,
    1 GPUgrid task
    3 MW tasks.

    I'm jazzed.

I'm jealous, I wanted to do that as well, but couldn't even get MW@home to run task even with only the 4850 installed. any tips so I might try again?

we it doesn't work under IX yet, and I could only get the 8.12 ATI drivers to cooperate with the MW app.

    My setup is:

    winxp pro 32 bit
    boinc 6.4.7
    Ati drivers 8.12
optimized MW app 0.19e for SSE2

also, it was necessary to plug a monitor plug into one of the output ports of the ATI, even though I'm using the GTX 285 card for video output.

see this thread for more detail.

well, a couple differences there I'll have to check out, running Vista 64, Boinc 6.6.15(beta), ATI driver 9.2.
Can't wait to get back to the house to try again.

Check this out, 84k points in one day on this host with a combo of ABC, GPUGRID, and MW @home projects running on it.

Want to bum rush some science with the added benefits of big points quick, I think I've found a way.

you cant get both drivers to load, or the MW units just error ed out? Mine were also doing that to until I plugged the ATI card into a monitor as well as my primary gtx285 plugged into another monitor. (actually to different hi def channels on the same monitor), and then I went into the video control panel and activated both as a primary and secondary monitor. They say you can also use a video dummy plug to simulate a monitor being plugged in. Did you do this?
