Firewall PC
Over the Easter holidays my son got this setup working under FreeBSD to create our Firewall computer running pfSense.
Intel Q8200, 4GB DDR2 1066 RAM Corsair dominator without the fan, GA-EP45-DQ6 mobo, Antec 902 case, Corsair 620-HX p/s, Zalman 9700NT hsf, Inno3D 260+ GPU.
I couldn't find an AMD Phenom II compatible motherboard that had 4x GB LAN ports on-board, so had to go the Intel route.
I have 4 instances of NPLB running too.

I think firewall function alone doesn't take much cpu or memory resources.
Those NPLB instances will be very happy there.
-
Its also acting as a router for his ADSL2+ connection.

Meh.. I'm still using an AMD k6-2 500 for a firewall/router on the
home network. Debian etch.
