    Angels and Demons movie

Has anyone seen the Angels and Demons movie, based on Dan Brown's book?

The intro is really cool, they are actually inside the LHC complex! The Large Hadron Collider for which we run simulations on boinc!

If they had more workunits to crunch I'm betting they would be getting a large boost of new participants!

p.s. - I knew Anti-matter could be dangerous, but not to the point of that little piece they showed be able to wipe a whole city... is that the Atomic Bomb of the future?

Theory says it has the potential to be not as destructive, and some platforms suggest more destructive then that proposed by the fictional movie sequence. Since no anti-matter exists at this time we can only hypothesize what could be possible at this time!

I've been reading up on the cern website and wikipedia. They have sucessfully generated some very basic anti-matter particles already, but only in the proportion of a few thousand atoms (or is it called anti-atoms? lol).

The movie exaggerated on the quantity of anti-matter shown, it would take millions of years, and cost billions of dollars on the current processes to generate just 1 gram of anti-matter.
But the destructive effect of 1 gram of anti-matter would be immense, the problem is that it's nowhere near feasible to build an anti-matter bomb, because we can't generate and store that much anti-matter yet.
