    Question BOINC/Fedora 11 problem

I'm moving BOINC to Fedora 11. I copied the BOINC directory to the new install. After starting 'run_manager' everything seems to be running normally except the following message is continuously displayed:

09:08:30 PM: Error: Cannot get the official hostname (error 11: Resource temporarily unavailable)

I found a number of references to this error via Google but no fixes. Any ideas?

    Yep.

Looks like a CIFS / SAMBA error.
I highly suspect there is a windows partition or remote share involved in your install and it is not mounting / responding properly.

I recommend that you have a look at your fstab and fuse.conf
Also, the RHBz site has some outstanding issues on this topic (1 more relevant than the others).

Look for updates, try the "dev" updates if you don't have too much invested in your installation already.

Also, if you want to get more involved in tracking down the issue, follow the advice here:
