And by the way... welcome to the forums Dirk Broer!

I'm one of the moderators here and I am very happy to have one new real member in here with us... I'm afraid the internet is being swamped with spammers everywhere, I usually spot and kill 20 to 30 new spam accounts in the forums every month.

What projects do you like the most? I see you got quite a run going on Collatz and DNETC@Home, and over half-a-million cobblestones on Milkyway so I'm guessing GPU projects are your favorites.

And I don't know if you have checked out our Wiki yet, but I'm also the one responsible for it

I see you show up on the old Predictor@Home on our Team (ranked 24th out of 162), so I guess I can create your initial member profile on the wiki already.
I'll get it done real soon!

EDIT: It is done... your AMD Users wiki profile is created!

    Welcome Dirk.
@NeoGen - nice speedy add to the wiki there wiki-man!

    Interesting how things change.
I recently donated DN04 to a family member (no longer a cruncher though I am sad to say ... it has done enough :P ) and the last of my CRTs went with it.
I got a couple of new LCDs last month (2xASUS VE246 HDMI and 1xBenQ G2420HD HDMI) and they are so much better than the LCDs I bought 2 years ago (1xViewSonic VA2226w and 1xAcer AL1916W).
Now that I have seen and experienced the quality and refresh rates of these newer LCDs I have no reason to miss my old CRTs.

My Iiyama Vision Master Pro's manage 1280 by 1024 at 75 Mhz (Windows 7) or 85 Mhz (XP), and as long as they still work....LCDs and LEDs keep getting cheaper. The oldest Iiyama I have costed me ƒ1000.00 then, the newest I got for free as I found it along the road. Former user is probably a LCD user now! Amazing to see what people throw away sometimes, some are too afraid to open their machine before dumping, as I now have a surplus of add-on cards and memory. Not all fit for crunching, but I can restore and improve most PCs i get handed over with it. Non-PCs (Apple G3 PowerMac@450Mhz, RS/6000@332 Mhz) are a bit harder though, quite picky in their hardware needs.

    Hi NeoGen,

I am actually "my" country's #1 in quite a lot of projects... Once, when registrating for BOINC I thought I did not need to look up the country code, assuming they'd use ISO codes ->031 for the Netherlands. So there I was, a Dutchie on the British Virgin Islands. If I leave them now, their whole rating falls apart, country-wise. The Netherlands will not even notice a sudden 3 million extra.

Project Country Pos. Total Day Week Month Average
    BOINC combined 1 3,086,221 33,147 175,211 675,960 26,339

Yup, you are the British Virgin Islands current standing champion on all those projects... hehe

I can only type in the wiki projects that have finished already (like Predictor@Home) because the currently running projects change every day, so it would be impossible to keep track.
You will be nearly 10x National Champion once all those projects finish. I keep all that stuff in the wiki. I am 9x National Champion by my Country (Portugal) too, I am currently living in the USA, but I am Portuguese and born in Portugal, so I represent my country in the projects.

It crossed my mind once... what if people sign up to represent different countries on different projects and end up being national champions for those projects? I guess that if that happens I will change people's pages to show a little collection of flags of the ones "conquered" and the ones "remaining".
