yup, a rather crappy turn of events from Sony. For the gamers it doesn't do much, but for the DC crowd it is the pits, and puts things squarely on the backs of ATI and Nvidia. So there go the PS3 clusters with linux.................

I also think it was a bad move from Sony's behalf... but not as bad when compared to the "ApocalyPS3 bug" a month ago.
