August Prime Hunters
Another month, another sweep on the Wiki member profiles... and I did find a couple of guys with some new prime numbers during the month of August.
Congrats to the following AMD Users Prime Hunters
gamer007 - 1 new primes! (his second largest prime, with 261,147 digits!)
vaughan - 3 new primes! (Broke his personal record with a prime 270,983 digits long!)

The rally over at No Prime Left Behind helped achieve this.
I encourage you to try out this non-BOINC project. The project is not well patronised because its not a BOINC one which is a pity as the folk at the forum are very helpful and friendly.

Hi Vaughan,
I joined but every page telling me how to run it gave me crap information.
My LLRnet_client config file looks like this:
server = "127.0.0.1"
port = 100
username = "ototero"
serviceName = "LLRnet-test"
WUCacheSize = 5
What's wrong?

change the LLR-clientconfig.txt file to be:
server = "www.noprimeleftbehind.net"
port = 3000
with the rest as you have it.

Thanks Vaughan,
I made the changes then llrnet.lua.exe........nothing.
gawk.exe........nothing.
gui.bat............nothing
Finally, do.bat..........it's running.
Clear as mud eh?

Yeah it sure is. I prefer the old version that had a GUI compared to the 10% faster new version. The do.bat version opens a DOS box per core and I don't like that. However, I don't think that the developer (kar_bon) is going to change this.
Glad you got it running.

Spoke too soon.
My 5 wu's finished then the batch file failed because it couldn't get a connection.
Any suggestions?

Don't worry. Fixed, me being a dumb ass.

That's great Ototero! Guess we may have a new prime hunter next month.
