    80 Plus PLATINUM certified PSU

    Does anyone have one of these?

    Until some time ago I thought gold was the highest level, and then I saw 1 Platinum certified psu on newegg.

    According to a quick read on Wikipedia, Platinum certified PSUs must have a minimum efficiency of 89% at 100% load, and higher at lower loads. Having only around 10% of energy wasted on heat generation, means that in leads to much less noise because the cooling fan run much slower. (And guess what... since the fan itself also runs slower, it also uses less energy! lol)

    I would be interested in seeing some more of these out there... the only one available at NewEgg only pumps out 550W, which is not so great for nowadays systems with multiple GPUs.
