Not using ChessBrain anymore because it seems to stop communicating after a few minutes. Have to restart cbplinci.exe to get it working again every few minutes. :evil:

gamer i thought i had the same problem as i had 3 peernodes open and they didnt get work for ages, i left 1 open overnight and it has with the scroll bar getting much smaller - so there must have been a lot of work.

what is the optimum number to have open while also trying to complete a CP unit in BOinc ??

Gamer007 - that's how it works. Sort of like when you play Chess in real life - lots of time thinking and not much time actually moving anything. It sits there doing nothing while the opponent is thinking up a move.

Maximum number of simultaneous instances of cbpncli is limited by the available RAM on your machine. The CBAgent takes 20 MB RAM and the CBpncli takes 25 MB RAM.

I have had 24 running simultaneously - tho' not much else runs when they all decide to grab the CPU.

24!!!! I like running Chess Brain, if there was only a way to run without having at bottom of screen - Not easy to hide at work, and someone always closes it. Any suggestions? If it would only run with just the little agent in the task bar that would be ideal!
