    i cant even run dhep now. when i try it says
    java isnt recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file

    it wont run as a service either, any ideas???????????????

    Go to a DOS prompt and type JAVA, press enter. It should test out ok with java sysntax message.

    It would seem that java needs a re-install. What have you done that might have caused that?

    I'm using IBM java btw.


    (you have crunched some dhep today from the stats :? )

    well, i tried the ibm java from our download site, dhep wouldnt work so i uninstalled it and tried to put the sun java back on. i thought it was working cause lifemapper is running fine. but i tried so start dhep and thats when i posted silly me. how do i fix this???

    Have a groundhog day and start again from yesterday

    You've had so many version of java installed, it's probably screwed. Have you looked at java in the control panel ?

    it says i have java2 j2re1.4.2_06 j2sdk1.4.2_06 and same with virtual machine.

    I know it might sound silly, but from my help desk days......have you tried re-booting :roll:
