    Considerable Rate Loss

Whenever I first start running my Dad's 2800+, my rate is over 1M.

However, after about an hour, it drops almost in half. It still is at 100% cpu usage.

    What gives?

one thing i have found on many forums and stuff is that memory affects it greatly, if you take the same parts and just switch memory you can greatly increase/decrease your output.

if SOB is sending results everytime a block is finsihed it takes a while to open connection, connect, login, send and disconnect. during this time it does not crunch so your rate drops.
When your first start the client the rate will increase for a few hours and then decrease, i have found if you leave it long enough it stops.

the only way i know to keep my number constant so it never goes down is to put it on normal priority first in the SOB client itself and not to send results. then every few hours send results, its not ideal but you will get better scores though you have to be present for this.

thinking about it i guess all you could do otherwise is a service install which goes even faster and you cant see the cEMS/s so you wont worry, lol. :D

unfourtunately not.... Hopefully soon though. My parents computer is crunching DHEP though. But too bad they only have it on a few hours a day... That's why I have such a low production on it.
