low priority fix found by me? & Boinc on networked comp!

Hiya, 2 things for ya to try.

1) Boinc on networked computers is a GO!!!

2) I'd like feedback on this one.(winxp) can be done in win 98? anyways,
my comp - r-click - properties/advanced/performance/advanced ... memory usage. Choose system cache.
- may need a reboot, don't recall.
PLEASE, someone try this and let me know if low priority programs play fair. I use Eon's client (not screen saver part) and Boinc.
- client.exe is found in the Eon folder. :greenjumpers:

extra: Eon program is looking like a go-go for any ram-drive-aholics.

um, didn't mean to sound pompus <---pompous? anyways,
just wondering if that priority thing is finally in its place.

I've never attempted to queue Seti BOINC tasks, the application seems to do a good enough job of caching tasks itself. In any case BOINC will switch to Climate Prediction, Pirates at Home or Protein Predictor if it runs out of Seti work.
Just downloaded and installed BOINC v 4.60
so will see how it behaves.

i am finding 4.60 good Vaughan it doesnt always make sense and always adds predictor twice :?: but other than that its great

Boinc is now trying to crunch for Seti and Eon's client has taken over 100% of cpu.
Will have to try the other setting, background-services instead of programs.
- Again, I'll let you know how it goes.

Don't know what you mean by queue'ing Boinc work?
- Wait, I think I got it: Changing the setting to use system cache is how windows deals with the swap file, not how it 'caches' work for Boinc; 2 different things.
