October competitions
October competion time is here again!
This month there's:
October 1 to October 8 - SIMAP October 2012 Scramble
The traditional monthly SIMAP Scramble, organized by BOINCStats!
There are already 18 teams begun to crunch this mont's alloance. Be sure to get your fill, pretty soon there will be nothing left to do but crunch what you've downloaded. Bender10 and Moops have taken off first from our team and scored our first 55 credits.

October 4 to October 11 - World Space Week Challenge
Rechenkraft.net has organised a challenge for Constellation, and 10 teams will compete on this CPU-only project.

October 12 to October 16 - * New Moon Birthday Party *
THere's a full moon, and Sicituradastra has organised a challenge for Collatz, and 10 teams will compete.
Collatz really works great on Ati/AMD Radeon cards and Llano's, and even my old AGP HD 3850 can crunch it.

October 15 to October 20 - POEM@HOME Blitz II
Team IBM wants us to try our GPUs again on POEM@Home. Though I've seen my GT 430 handle this without app_info.xml, POEM will usually want a complete CPU core per WU and it sometimes takes an app_info.xml to make that happen gracefully. Otherwise it can clog-up with other processes and make endless WUs in terms of hours. For both nVidia and Ati/AMD, and paying quite good in terms of credit. Last month we scored more than 3 million credits as team, ending 7th.

October 22 to October 27 - Crunchland Nomads II
Team IBM has discovered that there's more fun organizing WCG challenges through BOINCStats and wants your CPUs again for World Community Grid. We are already entered, so we can go in flying this time. Perhaps we can end up 4th this month instead of 5th, like last month. There are as yet no conflicting challenges in the time frame of Crunchland Nomads II.
