    December 2012 Competitions

Last month of the year again, what does December bring?

November 27 to December 04 - December of the living dead
Carried over from November: Team Stuttgart Ost wants our nVidia GTX GPUs for GPUGrid. There are at the moment 160 participants from 13 teams now, and as yet three AMD Users. -raTTan- leads at #60, Hinemos is at #92 and I can be found on #98 with my old coal-fed, steam-blazing 192-core GTX 260. A real steam-punk competition! When oh when will them GPUGridders make a Radeon application? Or do I have to invest in 600/700-series GeForce cards?

December 03 to December 10 - SIMAP December 2012 Scramble
Our monthly classic. Will Bender10 try to sneak up on Vaughan again? Will Vaughan show his digital muscles in response?
Will we be able to hold Alone.at.Seti at bay, who are sneaking up on us, team-wise? Questions that will all be answered by December 11.

December 10 to December 11 - [Twenty Four 002] Human Rights Crunch
Brigade du Cosmos' [Twenty Four] serie of challenges aims to celebrate important dates in the history of our world (yesterday and today).
24 hours of intense crunch tribute to our history ! This second edition celebrates the Universal Declaration of Human Right adopted by the United Nations General Assembly on 10 December 1948 at Palais de Chaillot, Paris. The target is our dear old beloved Seti@Home

December 14 to December 21 - Final crunch before the day staunch !
Brigade du Cosmos loves Seti@Home: A week long until the old Mayan calender stone stops for lack of space
-according to some, others think they made a small mistake and the actual end of the world is still further ahead.
I do hope the latter are right...

December 22 to December 27 - Into the New Age: Path with Technology
IBM takes over where Brigade du Cosmos left of and again it is Seti@Home they're after. I bet he'll be phoning home by now.

    December 28, 2012 to January 04, 2013 - 2012 - 2013
SETIKAH@Korea must have thought about their team name when they organised this challenge.
We'll be going out the old year with Seti@Home and we're beginning the new year with it as well.

So much stuff going on in December! But 4 out of 6 are on SETI so for those who don't have much time to play around with their machines in this holiday season just set-and-forget on SETI@Home and you will be covered for most of the challenges.

Set-and-forget is not the best policy for Seti I discovered.
More like pamper-and-resubmit! (in that special time frame when the Seti server accepts uploaded WUs)
