    Hi Chris,

You're doing very well at MilkyWay!
I hope I can free some resources for PrimeGrid next week
but I'm spread mighty thin, doing 32 projects at the same time.
And a merry christmas to you too

Hey Chris - welcome again. Good to see some fellow crunchers back on the projects.

I've been a little quiet recently due to changed circumstances in "real life" but I'm working on turning things around and being back on crunching duties one of these days.

    Hi Dirk,

yes Milky Way is running very fine at my Radeon HD but i reduce it during the week to 14 h per day only run full time at night and during weekend... power bill Some weeks i switch to WCG conquer cancer units... brings much credits.. but they also block a CPU core... same as Poem@home units..
    wcg.jpg
My other Radeon runs PG... its a HD 5770...so no chance for double precisions units..
My CPU cores are running only WCG and Constellation at the moment ( be number 1 in Belgium )
I think about building a new machine next year... think i need a Octacore .... i7 are very very fast... but... i'm a AMD freak... once AMD.. ever AMD

    @vaughan:
nice to hear from you... i saw the AMD users stats... and asked me.. where is the crazy Australians RAC ? But it comes back i see.
Liuqyn is on holiday also ????

    Hi Chris,

Why not try for a G34 mobo build?
Alternate.be has a ASUS KGPE-D16/IKVM, that will allow for two hexadeca-cores.
Alternate.de also has the more affordable Supermicro H8SGL-F, that will allow one such a beast.
An AMD Opteron 6262HE only burns 85 Watt, and has an amazing 16 cores...

BTW; That's an impressive row of rubies for WCG!

Welcome back chris! You have been busy there in milkyway, PG and WCG. You're getting your money's worth out of the Radeon HDs.
I have the exact same thought as you about the new machine and AMD. I just wish AMD would come out with a new chipset that had PCIe 3.0, and maybe a new HyperTransport (4?).

MIA in the stats since July 2012.
We were expecting to see him again this Winter, but no signs yet.

Better update the stats: Liuqyn scored 1,764 credits yesterday in MindModeling@Home Beta, according to FreeDC
According to BOINCSTats he's also been active last month in RNA World and WuProp.
Maybe he's been building a new rig too, or paying off the power company for the efforts of last year.

hhmmm, jooo Dirk i also think about this server stuff but i recognize my knowledge is to low for this stuff. Also this machine don't become a Boinc only afterburner... i want to use it also. I build my own PC's since many years.... that's no problem... but server, unix, linux etc... bbrrrr.... please not.
Maybe my second machine... this is Boinc only... first i set it up with Linux and it runs... but i was not able to connect it with Teamviewer... i need a remote control for this because it don't have anything like screen, keyboard.... only a wlan antenna

Maybe if you have any time you can make an how-to article about this stuff ?
