if you had that many cards how many would you feel obligated to crunch with?
He (from the funny video) doesn't even own a PC...but then I don't think he is 'real' -It's like a kid collecting wheel discs without owning a car -harmless fun
I know of a Dutch 3DFX collector with a room full of Vodoo cards, he at least also owns a PC, and is real.
it's irony cause as far as i know that smaller tends to deliver low tempt. and make less noise compare to big card
Smaller also has -in general- a much lower GFlop/Watt ratio. You can fill a machine with four small cards of 35 Watt each, or buy one card that does 140 Watt, in 99% of the cases the output of the 140 Watt card will be much better than that of the four 35 Watt cards.
That 1% is for cases when an old 140 Watt nVidia card is used, say a GeForce GTS 240. That has a meagre 3.89 GFlop/Watt tdp, four HD 6450s will consume less power/generate less heat and -in general- will give more credit.
In general I would rather have a HD 7990 and a Geforce Titan that both only run 8 hours a day than my present lot of 7 GPU's in my computer room that run 24/7. It would cut down both on noise, heat and used power.
