    new Nvidia SLI Drivers

    mainly for doomeva / Vaughan

WHILE IT WILL REMAIN beta until Nvidia finishes testing it, a beta release of Forceware 70 has been available on the firm's site for a few days now.

Nvidia tested 60 games and applications and added it to the SLI ready list. This driver also brings support for 6200 with the Turbo Cache series, better video support called PureVideo and of course better SLI support.

Sources close to Nvidia said this driver has much better SLI support and lets you do many things that you could not manage with Forceware release 65.

Excellent news Oli, thanks. I hope the beta drivers don't ruin my ability to play World of Warcraft. Just to be safe I might wait until nVidia post the fully released drivers.
    Doomeva.

ps. Jeff L how are you progressing with WOW?

    nVidia beta SLI drivers

Well I just had to try the new beta drivers out, didn't I?

All seemed OK until I started WOW. It has some annoying green lines - 2 vertical and 2 horizontal that mess-up the screen when World of Warcraft starts. Settings used were: 1024 x 768, 75 MHz, 32k colors, SLI on.

Reverted to the 60 drivers - all OK again.

I don't understand how it could be related to the beta drivers or to the fact that I overclocked the 3500 by 5% but Doomeva observed a marked reduction in frames per second. It is normally 57-63 FPS and with the beta drivers and 5% o/c it was 5 FPS

We quickly restored the previous settings!
