AMD Rx series being launched this month

From the first figures that are released it seems that:

The Radeon R5 210 is meant for command-line knights (aka The Knights of the Prompts) only. No performance whatsoever and almost no power draw either (19 Watt) from its Cedar chip, seen last in the Radeon HD 5450.
The Radeon R5 220 is a re-branded Radeon HD 6450/7450, sharing the same video chip (Caicos).
The Radeon R5 230 is an overclocked Radeon HD 6450/7450 -so still using Caicos-, but using double the wattage for a slight increase in GFlop.
In short: when you are seriously into crunching, you do not need these R5 cards. When you want a little performance on the cheap you might consider a R5 220. Stay away from the 210 and 230 though (based upon GPUBoss figures).

The Radeon R7 240 is a new card featuring an Oland PRO Chip, which utterly fails to impress me. Sub-HD 7730 performance at a slightly higher wattage.
The Radeon R7 250 can be compared to a HD 7750, but it seems to use far more power -75 Watt against 50 Watt-, more like the OC version of the HD 7750, but then without that card's performance. In fact it's performance is more on par with the HD 6670, which leads me to think Oland XT is in fact Turks. Strange..
The Radeon R7 260 can very well be compared with the Radeon HD 7770 (it looks like a rebrand to me, sharing its Cape Verde chip).
The Radeon R7 260X can be very well compared with the HD 7790 OC (it looks like a rebrand to me, both using Bonaire).
In short: when you are seriously into crunching, but afraid of a huge power bill, you go for the Radeon R7 260 or 260X (based upon GPUBoss figures).

The Radeon R9 270 and Radeon R9 270X can be compared to the HD 7870
The Radeon R9 280 and 280X cosily nestle between the HD 7950 and 7970, both in terms of performance and power draw,
The Radeon R9 290 can be compared to the GHz version of the HD 7970,
The Radeon R9 290X offers HD 5970/Ares II performance for a far lower power consumption,
The Radeon R9 290XT offers HD 7990 performance for a far lower power consumption.
