I have ZA pro but it doesn't interfere with the router.

Is there something in your router that says log off after x hours of no activity. Or keep session alive.

    Some do.

    Hi!

I don't know. When I took out the electric cable from the modem and the router and reset it the router log also was reset. The log from yesterday and tonight is away.

From ZA log. What will it mean?

    The time Zone
    Set Daylight Saving (Optional)
    Enable
    - Daylight savings time:
-- In spring and fall seasons, do you have to change your clocks?
-- In Montreal it is by 1 hour
    Start from Mon Day
    End by Mon Day
    - I don't know what those 2 mean.

    Administrator Settings
    Password Settings
    Current Password
(Lagu, or someone, edit post and hide the password
    - Or Lagu, change it now, but write it down.
Idle Time Out 10 Min (factory settings)
    - This will disconnect you if there is no internet traffic for 10 minutes.
    - But in the log when everything is ok, it kept reconnecting:
    ...
    2005/03/16 17:52:47 : Entering RENEWING state.
2005/03/16 17:42:47 : dhcpc: Ready for user requests.
    ...
-- Now I know why they were ten minutes apart.
-- But I do think there were times with 10 minutes of inactivity even here.
--- as I don't think any high-speed connection is made to be disconnected like a dial-up connection. No sharing going on with High-speed users.

Can you manually reset the "Time out" period to a larger period of time, or disable it completely? If not there are some free downloadable scripts to keep the connection "alive".

Usually, a timeout number of 0 means "never time out".

I think it has with Daylight Saving to do.
    Start by mount and day
    Ended by mount and day

I have look in the manual an it says:

If your region runs on Dayligt Savings Time, you chould enable theSet Daylight saving" option and input the dates and times when Daylight Savings Time goes into and out-of effect.
Here in Sweden we have two different times The summer and the winter time. The clock goes back 1 time or forward -1 timedepending of wich time it is.

    SB2!

I will send a picture of setup for the router. (factory settings)

    Remote Management
    Enable

    IP Address . . .

(0.0.0.0: means all legal ip address can access the device.)
    Port

    Block WAN Ping
When you "Block WAN Ping", you are causing the public WAN IP address on the Broadband Router to not respond to ping commands. Pinging public WAN IP addresses is a common method used by hackers to test whether your WAN IP address is valid and supports a network.
    Discard PING from WAN side

    Hi!

Here is another frames of the router setup:

    PPPoE (Dial-Up xDSL)

Enter the PPPoE user name and password assigned by your Service Provider. The Service Name is normally optional, by may be required by some service providers. Enter a Maximum Idle Time (in minutes) to define a maximum period of time for which the Internet connection is maintained during inactivity. If the connection is inactive for longer than the defined Maximum Idle Time, then it will be dropped. You can enable the Connect-on-demand option to automatically re-establish the connection as soon as you attempt to access the Internet again.

If your Internet Service Provider requires the use of PPPoE, enter the information below.

    User Name
    Password
    Please retype your password
    Service Name (optional)
    IP Address (optional)

    Secondary DNS Address (optional)
    MTU (40-1492)
    Maximum Idle Time (minutes)
Connect mode select Always-on (factory settings) Manual Connect-on-demand

Note: PPTP for a WAN connection is most popular in Europe.

    My Subnet Mask
    Connection ID (Optional)
