Still looking at Mother Boards, geez after while I will find what I am looking for though it has been a tremendous learning experience.

I am trying to get my Tech to allow me to purchase a bundle on NewEgg. But, he is pretty insistent I do it his way or its the highway for Me! Seems he is still telling me he is retired yet, he is working harder then ever! He just picked up 7 more clients in the first quarter of the year. He does business mainly, municipal governments is his specialty. I have known him since 1999, that makes our friendship long term and our minds similar in pathways of accomplishment.

There are not that many boards that are a good cruncher's choice for a FX 8350, I'd say..
The four tier 1 manufacturers of today (Asrock, Asus, Gigabyte and MSI) all have one or two boards that can be used for (future) multiple GPU crunching (and therefore need the AMD 990FX chipset).
Outside of tier 1 there is just one offering, from Biostar.
Of these boards Asrock has the two most recent (as last it's 'Fatal1ty 990FX Killer' gaming board), but if I were to buy an Asrock AM3+ board it would be the even more feature-rich 990FX Extreme9
All these boards max out at 32 Gb of RAM and PCIe 3.0 support is only brought by the the last Asus offering, the Asus Sabertooth 990FX/GEN3 R2.0, top Asus board however being the Crosshair V Formula-Z.
Their main competitors are the MSI 990FXA-GD80 and the Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD7.
You might want to re-read my -by now slightly dated- AM3+ 990 FX mobo shoot-out to decide which feature(s) matters to you most and what you'd want to drop, budget-wise.

I sent the order in this morning, about ten minutes ago... now with an additional 3 weeks of time to acquire the materials, assemble the configuration, and then transfer the data I should be raring to go. At least I will be able to go forward when a project comes on line, now i just hope the project lasts in Beta till I can reach 10,000 points. So disappointing old systems are.

Just last night we had sever T-storms, I shut the system off to prevent damage, It took nearly 12 tries to get the system to boot properly this morning. This scenario reminds me of hand cranking a tin lizzy, there is no starter using a key entry system, you have to work your brain to diagnose just why it isn't working like it was before you turned it off last night. Boot up freeze, repeat then fiddle with bios, reboot freeze, change bios back, reboot slow startup missing key icons in taskbar, reboot recover initiated, finally the light of day appears. Hi folks I am back.

I can't wait till this is behind me

Good Advice, actually it may help next time as I will refrain from pulling my own hair out. I may have developed another balding spot on my head. This may be the result of tense yelling spats as I get angrier at my own aged computer system. Look; a new horizon has promise of no more frustration. Please hurry I can't wait!

    Signed thoroughly pissed hardware owner...

Computer Dude emails me at 3:45 AM today, the computer will be done by Tuesday AM... Looking forward to transferring files and being online by Friday! I am really depressed that I am in the realm of Ranking of >8,000 + overall. I think with the new system I will be able to move back to the >5,000 pretty quick.

OH Jedi Master: The Triggle realm is fine with the projects that exist but anything else is going to see a rise in value! Yee Haw
