    New AMD servers coming!

    Hello fellow AMDers!
Yesterday I was approved to order 2x Dell R715's!
Each server will have 2x AMD Opteron 6344 12 core CPUs with 64GB 1600MHz RAM and 3x 600GB 10k SAS drives
I am sure that before I get these loaded up with VMware, I should probably do some good testing with them first, right?
If you can't make it ... Don't come!

Let see us you break those scores with that ordinary Dell! (very funny pun when versed in both Dutch and English).
The brute can even be fitted with two 16-cores and up to 512GB RAM! Maximum Internal Storage: Up to 6TB.....

lol, well they are supposed to be here today according to the tracking number!
I wish I could have gone with the 16 cores, but seeing as I am replacing a single VM host with dual Quads, the dual 12-cores should be awesome!
might have to keep adding to my poem@home score.

ok, VMware install, 1 test server setup on each - 1 running 24 cores the other 8 (so I can do other testing with this server lol)
just attached to BOINC and POEM@HOME - let's see what happens!

You will run the server dry at this pace, that's what will happen!

Perhaps you can attach LHC-Test4Theory and PrimeGrid afterwards (being the present team and project challenges)

Doing alright. All cores active and you'd be heading for the top ten!
Imagine the performance when the two 12-cores dualies would be two 16-cores quaddies......
