Grub fills up hard disk.

The Grub linux client won't compile, so I'm running the Win version on an old Win98 machine.

It seems to work, but it keeps filling up the C drive until it overflows. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Grub 3 or 4 times already in order to get the computer working again. This machine has 770 MB free on C, but there's plenty available on D & F.

How much storage does this thing need, or is it just no good? I know it's posting to the Grub site because I've gotten 127,000 URLs so far.

p.s. I can't ask on the Grub forums because I still can't access those.

We have experienced a slow down on the servers due to other processes. The servers should be back to normal today or tomorrow.

As far as the work units being stored and taking to much space, they will expire after 24 hours, which should help the situation.

kinda suck tho' becasue thats 24 hours of wasted cycles if you don't get an upload in time.

yep, at least they post responses even if they are bad. better than some forums who fail to reply.

I can view the forums, & thanks for the info.

One would think they would at least program the client to be able to run unattended. It should sense that the drive is almost full and suspend storing data until the server is available.
