    AMD's new Mantle API

    Have you guys seen the details AMD gave on the GPU14 conference? More specifically about the Mantle API?

    To think that they can produce a low level API for the Radeon HDs that will be up to 9x faster than DirectX is beyond amazing. If they can really pull it off next year it will be a game changer!

    But I can foresee at least Microsoft and Nvidia fighting, biting, clawing, undermining and using all other possible imaginable evil tactics to take it down already.
