Thread: second place !

  1. #1

    Question second place !

Looks like we've got ourselves in 2nd on this project. We're still a bit out of first, and need a little more crunching to get there. Anyone else want to jump on board and help us out

This interesting project really gives out a high point return compared to others.

Only 24 people on our Team, and we did almost as much as Boinc Synergy's 110 members.

I've Answered your plea for more help on Nano-Hive, I have placed Rocketship on temporary leave from United Devices to work on putting us in 1st place.

All I ask is that you consider helping on my project (Grid.org) when you hit your 1st or 2nd million on Nano-Hive, thanks in advance.

Challenge me, or correct me, but don't ask me to die quietly.

  5. Ive been cranking out a few points on Nano-Hive and will be hanging out there for a little longer

How long are these work units, I am at 4 hours and counting for one, the other keeps crashing with computational error. IS this normal or is this a problem. Since I crashed last time I tried to crunch a couple of WU's only to have the system crash on me!
    I am so confused.
Right now My back is throbbing three driveways shoveled out, I hurt all over !

on my amd 4400 oc'd to 2.6ghz the large wu's run around 6-7 hours.

on my intel e6300 oc'd to 3.3ghz the large wu's run around 4-5 hours

every once in awhile I'l get smaller wu's that give less credit. I have many wu's that have returned over 1000 in credit. I have one recent that returned
    30,866.61 cpu seconds 1,754.74 credit
a typical wu usually gives hundreds of credit points. This is by far the highest credit awarding project I've seen.

That is high!! Is it running off of benchmarks or what? Even on the old method in Tampaku I was only getting half of that.

I believe it's using benchmarks. The WU times are too unpredictable to use a fixed credit system like SETI or E@H.

My P4 3.0GHz takes around 4-7 hours per WU. My brother's AMD Athlon XP 1700+ 1.4Ghz takes around 7-11 hrs. Both gaining hundreds of credits. :D
