August has just started, but the August 2012 SIMAP scramble is already well underway, having started on the 30th of July at 07:00 AM.
July 30 to August 7 - The August 2012 SIMAP scramble
A SIMAP Challenge start unlike last month, when I went in flying and ended up with a dry tank due to a too small WU cache.
AMD Users does better than before: we're currently 7th, and the team has swollen to ten members.
In order of present credits scored so far: Bender10, B Johansson, Kle, Dirk Broer, NeoGen, Smok88, Hautlle, Freddie, Moops and Ken429H.
Remember to set your cache to several days, or you'll run out of WUs before the end like me last time!
August 1 to August 8 - 1st 35th Anniversary [ WOW! Signal ] Challenge
A month full of Seti challenges from SetiKAH (Seti Korea AT Home), after an original idea from SetiGermany.
Remember that Seti nowaday does both nVidia and Ati/AMD, but the latter might need a visit to the Lunatics website.
August 9 to August 16 - 2012 WOW Event!
For some reason this sub-challenge is not named "2nd 35th Anniversary [ WOW! Signal ] Challenge", but is using a not quite so original name.
August 18 to August 25 - 3rd 35th Anniversary [ WOW! Signal ] Challenge
August 268 to September 2 - Last! 35th Anniversary [ WOW! Signal ] Challenge
More month-long challenges that we can enter:
July 29 to August 31 - To Eliminate AIDS - August 2012
Another Eliminate AIDS challenge issued by Team Thompson. In July we managed a 5th place.
The goal of this challenge is to get as many points in the FightAIDS@Home project, so for me: on to my 2nd ruby!
July 29 to August 31 - Small Team Race - August 2012
Another Small Team Race organised by Team Thompson. In July we managed a 7th place.
MOT (MyOnlineTeam) organizes thity-six(!) WCG challenges this month: three general ones, all three for all projects but of three different types: Points, running time and number of returned results; three similair challenges for Computing for Sustainable Water; three likewise for Say No to Schistosoma; another three for GO Fight Against Malaria; yet three more for Drug Search for Leishmaniasis; three for Computing for Clean Water; three for The Clean Energy Project - Phase 2; three for Discovering Dengue Drugs - Together - Phase 2; three for Help Fight Childhood Cancer; three for Help Conquer Cancer, three for Human Proteome Folding - Phase 2 and finally three for FightAIDS@Home. One really must make a choice here, and for the benefit of challenges as a goal one should be MOT themselves here, I fear.
Published. Thanks Dirk. Great work. Its good to know what's going on.
