I'm voting Proteins as I think it's a more viable project.

We could make the sheep a member and pass him around during the summer months to sort all our lawns out! ...not sure what we'd call him though ..."Cruncher"?

Welcome back Murray, as for the race I believe the race is intended to start somewhere in the middle of May and run for about two months. I will not be able to participate in the race so that is why I have withdrawn from posting a selection on the Poll.

PG doesn't have a Linux client. So, I won't be able to run my Linux machine on it..........

With the current Computation Error problems in Riesel Sieve I'm switching what I can to PrimeGrid.

I guess these are the pre-race warm up laps.

I hope that the PG server will withstand the might of our green machines.

The race will start mid May but you can always start some warmup laps. There's new BOINC versions to try, see if any of the optimised clients work, check what the best BOINC settings are (JMBlazek posted some good points).

I wish PrimeGrid had a linux app

By the way, LLR tests are about 7 mins on a X2 4200+ just in case anyone wanted to know the running times of WU's

BOINC 5.8.16 is the latest version. No one should still be using 5.5.0 but if you are then please upgrade since a lot of projects need the extra information that the 5.8.X versions can provide to them.
